Creative + Strategic Digital Branding

Design, content, and SEO crafted to reflect who you are and how you work.

I’m Karen Lloyd, the designer, writer, strategist, and working artist behind K-Media. My work sits at the intersection of journalism, design, and SEO, grounded in the belief that clarity builds confidence. Before digital marketing, I studied journalism and marketing, learning how to ask better questions and pay attention to what people are really trying to say. That instinct still guides everything I build. A website isn’t decoration. It’s communication. I use keywords not as a technical afterthought, but as a listening tool. Search data shows us what people are actually looking for, how they describe their needs, and where opportunities are being missed.

That insight shapes everything that follows, from website structure and content direction to what a business should prioritize next. Over the years, I’ve helped restaurants, tourism operators, artists, and service-based businesses show up online with handcrafted websites, intentional branding, and content designed to be discovered. When your digital presence is built around real demand, everything becomes clearer: your message, your visibility, and your direction forward.

The Creative Side

Outside of client work, I paint. Mostly at night. Often in low light, and I wake up the next morning and adjust what I started in the dark. It’s a process that mirrors how I build brands: layer, pause, refine. You can view my available original paintings here → Original Art for Sale in Saint JohnBeing both a strategist and a practicing artist keeps my work grounded. I understand what it feels like to create something personal and put it into the world.

Saint John, Community & Small Rituals

I’m based in Saint John, New Brunswick, and deeply connected to its small-business and arts community. I’m a member of the Saint John Art Club and believe strongly in supporting local makers and independent spaces. You’ll often find me working from Catapult Coffee between meetings, picking up soaps from The Blue Pelican, or wandering local shops for colour inspiration. I’m drawn to places with personality, and I build brands the same way.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, collaborative approach that lets data quietly guide the direction forward, I’d love to support you. See my portfolio.
